Workshop: Applications of Big Data Science

BDCloud 2016 : The 6th IEEE International Conference on Big Data and Cloud Computing
Oct 8-10, 2016, Atlanta, GA, USA

Introduction

With the enormous increase of the use of information technology in all aspects of life, we have to learn to apply big data paradigm to all these information to have insight into all processes governing society, economics, science or politics. The workshop will address all aspects of big data and cloud and fog computing applications. The topics of interest are:

  • Machine learning and pattern recognition of big data
  • Big data for computer network traffic analyzing and security
  • Big data for large sensor networks
  • Big data for computational biology and bioinformatics
  • Large-scale online multimedia and text analytics
  • Security Applications of Big Data
  • High-Frequency Trading
  • Visualization and Business Model Discovery based on Financial and Business Big Data
  • Cloud Computing and Fog Computing Applications
  • Big data solutions for healthcare/medical applications
  • Big data approaches for energy systems/smart grids
  • Big data solutions for transportation systems
  • Big data solutions for spatio-temporal systems
  • Big data solutions for unstructured data
  • Big data solutions for operational intelligence
  • Other big data science applications
Some of the best works from all accepted and presented workshop papers (after their expansion and second round of independent reviews) will be invited into the Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing Research (http://jaiscr.eu/).

Paper submission

The paper submission deadline for the workshop is July 1, 2016.

Submissions must include an abstract, keywords, and the e-mail address of the corresponding author. The length of papers should not exceed 8 pages in the IEEE CS Conference format, including tables, figures, and references. The template files for LATEX or WORD can be downloaded from the following link: http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html

All paper submissions must represent original and unpublished work. Each submission will be peer reviewed. Should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors must register for the conference and present the work. All accepted and presented papers will be published in conference proceedings by IEEE CPS (EI indexed).

Submit your paper(s) at the submission site: http://abdssystem.jaiscr.eu/.
